Plascon House Tour: A Striking Finca Summer Villa
Summer never felt as light and airy as it does in this striking Finca Villa in Menorca, Spain. A home filled with character – arched entryways, patterned floors and high ceilings. It is a beautiful place for soaking up the Spanish sunshine.
We love the open rooms with large windows that look out on the Spanish landscape. The interior is bright and airy, thanks to white washed walls and high ceilings. The villa’s ground floor exudes a very Menorcan atmosphere with its vaulted ceilings and open rooms. Furniture is kept simple and light here, with rattan seating and wooden elements that add to the organic feel of the living spaces.
Bold art echoes the colour palette of this space. Soft furnishings, including a colour-blocked rug adds depth here and compliments the look and feel of the gorgeous patterned flooring underneath.
The floors are certainly a feature of this home. Each space boasts an array of colours that add to the Spanish flair of this abode.
The dining room takes on a more dramatic tone with dark walls and solid wood table. Low-hanging pendant lights add a hint of glam in gold and white and adds to the elegant feel of this room.
The bedrooms, on the other hand, are light and inviting. Fans are used throughout to curb the summer heat while light tones are reflective and soothing. We also love the built-in headboard with added storage and the patterned backboard which compliments the tones in the floors.
A simple and sleek bathroom is light and cool. Open windows allow for natural light to meander through this space while off-white walls create a softer feel against a striking charcoal bathtub. A special little retreat for relaxation.
