Plascon House Tour: A Contemporary Parisian Apartment
Today’s Parisian apartment is what European dreams are made of. A mix of classic design elements, modern art and urban influences adds to a beautifully functional home.
The residence is large with ample space for a growing family. What used to be two separate apartments was cleverly converted into one large family home. The property includes a double reception room, kitchen and eating nook, a master bedroom and bathroom as well as two further bedrooms, a second bathroom and a playroom.
The interior is a beautiful blend of classic pieces together with vintage finds. A marble tulip dining table is simple yet elegant, paired with a set of Danish chairs and a leather armchair. Hints of colour shine through the choice of artwork in the home as well as the soft furnishings such as the rusty coloured drapes in the dining area.
Surprisingly, the kitchen is small and cosy with dark colours that give the space character. Terracotta walls are off-set against dark grey cabinets. Everything is seamless and modern with metallic handles that add a little flair in this tiny space. The terracotta ceiling extends into the eating nook where a grey upholstered corner seat adds to the softer tones of this area.
The master bedroom takes on a more dramatic and bold look with deep blue and teal, together with grey and mustard for a masculine ambience. Concrete bedside tables and woven baskets add textural and urban design style to this space.
We love the overall look – an elegant contemporary Parisian apartment with loads of character.
