Plascon House Tour: A Colourful Victorian Terrace
This West London abode comes to life with interesting bursts of unexpected colour. The result is a fresh and inspired interior that draws us in.
In the kitchen, a somewhat streamlined design is infused with colour through bold, blue cabinets. Industrial-styled open shelving adds to a more minimalist feel while a backdrop of Carrara marble and white wall tiles give the kitchen a fresh, unassuming atmosphere.
Skylights allow for natural light to travel throughout the open plan living space and kitchen. Hints of fresh greenery, floral drapes, and of course, those shocking blue kitchen cabinets, give this living area a dose of much needed colour and vibrancy. A simple wooden dining table becomes a focal piece in this area – the ideal spot for enjoying the outdoor garden views and partaking in festivities around the table.
And how stunning is that black limestone flooring in parquet! A bold, beautiful addition to anchor the space!
A shocking yellow entryway links the living room to the sitting room. A cosy space is created with a mix of vintage finds and textures. A fireplace, arched windows and bold ceiling details hint at the strong Victorian history of this home.
The bedroom feels a little more modern with bright pops of red and a lighter, warmer wall paint. This combination of pink and grey with a shot of deep rouge in the master bedroom creates a cocooning space.
Thee study is a quiet smaller room, but certainly not quiet on style or colour. A bold green Eames chair pops against a blue backdrop while bold patterned drapes add to the colourful and playful feel of this space. A vintage Rosewood desk is a reminder of old-world charm – an elegant addition in a classic space.
