Ottiu was inspired by the most important jazz trumpeter and singer ever, Louis Armstrong, to design the Louis Mid-Century Bar Chair. He was one of the first popular African-American entertainers to go the extra mile fearlessly, whose skin colour was not important to his music in a country that was extremely racially divided at the time.
