NARDI for Skylark Negril Beach Resort in Jamaica
Experience the beauty of the outdoors where the white sands and crisp ocean views of Jamaica are simple and inspiring. At the Skylark Negril Beach Resort, sheer luxury and island living are the order of the day! The outdoor areas are kitted out with gorgeously bright and inviting outdoor furniture from Nardi.
Skylark refers to the Jamaican slang words meaning idleness and delight. The hotel is also the sister hotel of the legendary Rockhouse Hotel in Negril, located on the famous Jamaican beach known as the “Seven Mile”, about five miles from Rockhouse.
The Skylark Negril Beach Resort is inspired by the tropical design of the mid-twentieth century and the vibrant iconographic vocabulary of Jamaica. A contemporary minimalist local simplicity mixed with pieces from all over the world.
Outdoor Furniture by Nardi:
The exteriors, in particular, are characterized by the creative reworking of materials, colours, themes and common Jamaican building products. The minimalist approach creates an ideal canvas for the vivid hues of nature and the evident culture intrinsic within Jamaica.
Bright shades of willow green (reminiscent of ocean life), light blue, white and a few brushstrokes of coral and rose pervade the space, like the blossoming of tropical flowers.
The large bar right on the beachfront, with a roof and floor made of local wood, is populated with Bora and Bora Bistrot seats (fiberglass resin monocoque seats with or without armrests).
Along the bar a row of Lido stools form a part of the same collection of Bora, characterized by a pattern pierced on the seat and back. The same wood and resin dichotomy can be found in the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea that welcomes with its wooden tables accompanying the exquisite Bora collection in light blue.

Under the pergola, another common area at the hotel, a long wooden table contrasts with striking Net Relax chairs (selection ADI Design Index 2017, Reddot 2018 and Good Design Award 2018) in willow green and coral.
Small terraces and outdoor spaces in front of the rooms are furnished with a set consisting of the comfortable Net Relax armchair and the Spritz table (both in fiberglass resin), also here played on the willow green, light blue, white and pink upholstered colours, all placed in a lush and busty natural setting.

The end result is a beautiful mix of vibrant colours that are authentic to the vivacious nature of the island. Here, Jamaican spirit, in full colour, can be experienced right on the beachfront.
