Let’s Kickstart 2019 With My All Time Favourite Things
At the start of each new year, I often check out my travel calendar and take a look at the many places and experiences that will happen in the first half of the year.
Here’s my plan for 2019 with a few of my favourite things:
First and foremost, I will be enjoying some well deserved down time with my gorgeous children this summer. Hopefully this will happen at a place where no one knows who I am – where I can walk around and just laugh and be myself and truly enjoy the summer season.
Of course, I need to bring along some of my favourite things for the ultimate summer vacation. From light breezy summer clothing to vibrant accessories to a must-have beach bag, sunhat and more – the plan is to keep things stylish and cool this summer!
Here are a few must-have items and summer-wear I have my eye on at the moment…
Let’s go global…
So, after a good rest with my loved ones, what else is on the agenda for 2019, you may be wondering? Follow us on Instagram for updates and don’t miss out on all the action that the new year holds!
First, it’s back to business as we jet off to a cold and wintry Italy to visit the HOMI Design and Decor fair. What a way to kick start the year in Milan, the capital city of design! From the crystal blue ocean of the southern hemisphere, to the white capped snow peaks of Europe, we’ll be heading from one extreme to the other, but I’m looking forward to filling mind and soul with some true Italian inspiration from the home of fashion in Milan.
In February we will be home for a week before heading to Ambiente, a true treat with a focus on international trends and inspiring global designs. And then it is back to SA to talk at the renowned Homemakers show. Don’t miss out as I share some of my personal journey and walk you through the world of interior design.
There certainly is much to look forward to in 2019. Stay around for the journey.
My winter bag will include some of these fantastic options…
My preferred drink of choice…
The Negroni is an iconic Italian cocktail, made of one part gin, one part vermouth rosso, and one part Campari, garnished with orange peel. It is considered an apéritif and is simply refreshing and beautiful on the palate.
Cheers to a wonderful 2019! To you and your family, may you experience a happy holiday and much love from all of us at Marcia Loves It!
