Plascon House Tour: Blue and Grey London Glamour
A colour palette of deep blues, sultry greys and hints of charcoal and white fill this blissful London family home. It’s a residence filled with moody shadows and open windows that allow natural light to flood in.
We love the modern layout and mix of textures found in each room within this glamorous London above. From the open plan dining and kitchen space, custom cabinetry adds a modern uniform look while large windows provide much-needed lighting against the darker shades of built-in cupboards. A little retro farmhouse seems to meet contemporary glam in this space, with modern red appliances on display and a simple wooden table with blue-painted chairs. The room feels open and large – light filled and the perfect space for meal preparation with the family.
Things are much more refined in the designer living room which features a period fireplace and gorgeous blue sink-in sofas. The room feels cosy yet contemporary with hints of deep blue and grey that creates symmetry throughout this space. A big area rug ties it all together and adds a playful touch with hints of colour and pattern.
The bedroom again boasts a similar colour scheme with bold wallpaper as a feature wall behind the main bed. Modern globe wall lights add a contemporary twist here. A beautiful upholstered headboard and multiple layers of linen brings a wonderful tactile feel to this room. The overall look is one of sophistication and relaxation.
The en-suite bathroom is separated from the master bedroom by a window partition. Here, blinds can be pulled down for privacy or opened to create the illusion of space and flow. The bathroom is painted in the same tone as the bedroom. The floor tiles match the carpet too. In this way, the bathroom looks as though it’s part of the bedroom.
A custom-made vanity is a bold and beautiful addition to the en-suite bathroom. Double circular sinks and contemporary tapware add flair to this space. The vanity unit was made bespoke and painted in a dramatic dark blue with tiny feet that lift it off the ground.
