Ferreiras: successful bathroom renovations
Feeling like a new-year, new-you spruce up? Then renovating your bathroom is right up there with TTD in 2024.
Upgraded and refreshed, a new bathroom space may be just what you need to hit some of your health and well-being resolutions this year.
To help, here Ferreiras’s shares what to keep in mind for a :
Let the air in
Just like old resolutions, stogy air has no place in a bathroom. And while ventilation is not something many think to address when they think of revamping, it is important to ensure your bathroom is well-ventilated to let in fresh air. A big window is the best option here for crisp, clean air and sunlight.
Make it niche
A quick bathroom addition is a shower niche. Not only does it up the luxe factor but it provides practical storage. Finish it off with pretty mosaics.
Go green
The nature-loving trend is going nowhere in decor. Embrace it in your bathroom by adding potted plants or air plants – not only will the plants thrive in the humid room but they will provide much-needed oxygen and a burst of energy, making you feel good mentally and physically.
Update underfoot
Updating your bathroom flooring is a super investment. Choosing the right flooring can help you create a luxurious, hard-working space. Opt for luxury vinyl or tiles.
Repaint and reboot
A perennial favourite when it comes to renos, a lick of paint on your bathroom walls can bring about a relatively quick and affordable update.
Lights and action
Another item that often gets overlooked when it comes to bathroom updates, is lighting. By choosing the correct fixtures and updating your lighting plan, you’re not only upgrading the space but also making it more practical. After all, the correct lighting is key for grooming. Ideally, your bathroom should have a ceiling fixture and task lighting such as sconces around the bathroom mirror.
