Duravit: L-Cube range of bathroom furniture
Designed by Christian Werner, Duravit’s new L-Cube range of bathroom furniture is a collection of sleek, minimalist pieces for the contemporary bathroom.
“Tranquility. Clarity. Space for contemplation. This is how designer Christian Werner describes the vision that gave rise to L-Cube – a bathroom furniture program that eliminates all unnecessary elements. With fewer ‘distractions’, the bathroom user is inspired to truly relax and unwind”, explains Duravit.
Although simplistic, the design is anything but plain and features unique details such as a shadow gap and compartmentalised drawers.
“The shadow gap between the countertop and the vanity units as a repeating element makes handle-free surfaces possible and serves as recessed handles on tall cabinets and semi-tall cabinets. Not only do the flat surfaces of the handle-free furniture offer a sense of visual calm and relaxation, but they are also practical and easy to clean,” says Duravit.
In addition, the insides of the drawers come pre-divided, making it easier than ever to keep things organised.
The range, which consists of cabinets, shelves, consoles and vanity units that can be wall mounted or positioned on chrome legs, is available in a range of colour and surface options, making it possible to create a highly bespoke bathroom.
“Thanks to the wide variety of L-cube furniture surfaces available – different wood decors, real wood veneers and lacquer finishes – everyone can create a personal ambience that suits their needs”, explains Duravit.
As such, clients can choose between wood decors “with a natural look that is robust, easy to care for and UV-resistant”, wood veneers for a “warm, natural feel and aesthetic appeal” or lacquer surfaces for a glossy, high-quality look and finish”.
