Destinkt: Win Your Dream Bathroom

Win your dream bathroom in prizes up to the value of R500 000 with DADOquartz in partnership with BAGNODESIGN 2021 competition.

After a successful run of the ‘Win your dream bathroom’ competition in 2020, DADOquartz has decided to team up again with BAGNODESIGN to bring the competition back for 2021.

The ‘Win your dream bathroom’ competition is a chance at finally making that dream bathroom a reality, by just simply showcasing your design and creativity skills. The very first competition was held in 2020, in which the winner would be rewarded with their dream bathroom in prizes up to the value of R250 000. Contestants were required to submit a mood board, showing off their personal dream bathroom, using DADOquartz and BAGNODESIGN products.

Competition winners in 2020, as voted by the judges, were Sivan Lapidus, the first-place winner, Jeanetta du Plessis, the first runner-up and, Henk Henderson, the second runner-up. First place received a prize value up to R250 000, the first runner-up received a prize value up to R100 000, and the second runner-up received a prize value up to R75 000. Each of the winners had submitted mood boards that absolutely blew the judges away with inspiring designs that gave insight into the level of creativity that was present throughout. They had exceeded the judges’ expectations and ticked all the boxes.

Let’s hear from last year’s winners

When questioned about their experience of the ‘Win your dream bathroom’ competition, Jeanetta du Plessis, the first runner-up kindly shared that, “The quality of the products is out of this world. I just love my dream bathroom- it is exactly what I dreamt of”.

Second runner-up, Henk Henderson was equally ecstatic about sharing his journey through the competition, sharing, “My favourite part of the competition was having to design an upmarket bathroom with no limits when it comes to high quality products as well as to be guided by SAs best!”

With the new competition underway, Sivan Lapidus, the first-place winner of the 2020 competition had encouraging words for the contestants who enter this year, saying, “My main piece of advice is to dream, don’t let anything hold you back, think beyond your wildest imagination. Think about the texture, about what your bathroom would feel like as well as the use of colour”.

Win Big

This year, the stakes are much higher. Contestants stand a chance to win a fully furnished bathroom, that has been personally designed by them using DADOquartz bathware and BAGNODESIGN products as specified in the terms and conditions. The competition offers prizes up to the value of R500 000, making anything possible.  From a variety of luxurious bathtubs and basins to accessories with grandeur finishes that are smooth to the touch. This competition is your chance at making your bathroom the perfect therapeutic escape, a dreamer’s paradise become reality.

The expert judges’ panel consists of a wide variety of prestigious individuals who have an eye for detail and a passion for luxury and design.  Joining the judge’s panel this year is Miss South Africa 2011, Melinda Bam, our very own editor of SA Décor and Design, Marcia Margolius, South Africa-based design writer, Julia Freemantle, interior designer and Creative Director at Afri Modern, Sifiso Shange, and the editor of SA Homeowner magazine, Kelebogile Nondzaba.
