Italtile: Walmer Brings Signature Italtile Style to House Tomsett Reno

Although Italtile only recently opened its doors in Walmer, it is already making design waves, under the guidance of Manager Johan Kemper, and bringing signature Italtile elegance to this style-conscious Gqeberha enclave.

Walmer design gurus Coto Interiors worked together with RV Projects on a complex home renovation for Walmer resident Courtney Tomsett and the consortium reached out to Italtile Walmer for guidance in the selection of high-end, eco-chic bathroom products from Italtile’s sustainable style ranges. The theme was Quiet Luxury.

Quiet Luxury requires a restrained hand and a carefully layered neutral colour palette, and it is an aesthetic that is synonymous with the Italtile brand. Johan chose what Italtile calls Latté Tones, incorporating a selection of warm creams and greiges, with a touch of luxe in a set of gold tapware to add shimmering highlights in a lush, calming, spa-style sanctuary; a classic tone poem in a contemporary key.

Coto Interiors, well-known for their creation of inspirational spaces that amplify the personality and preferences of their clientele, asked Johan Kemper and his team to suggest top quality décor tiles, floor and wall tiles, sanware and brassware to bring their textured, layered mood board to life.

Roman Silver Matt Glazed Porcelain Tile: A classic large format 800 x 1600 marbled tile with a smooth, velvety touch and authentic, delicate veining and swirls, laid the colour foundation. Roman Silver is non-porous, long wearing, low maintenance porcelain tile that offers exceptional stain resistance, making it the perfect choice for a bathroom.

KitKat Tile: These slim, delicate tiles are fast becoming as iconic as their delicious namesake and are a versatile décor tile choice in any space. Johan chose a soft, cotton-toned KitKat mosaic tile as the next layer, to add charm and texture.

Cotto Basins: Johan chose exquisite Cotto basins – an eco-friendly brand crafted in Thailand – crafted from top quality materials with impeccable sustainability credentials.

Tivoli Tapware: Waterwise Tivoli taps are designed and manufactured in Italy. Each piece is made from solid brass and is an example of high design in the Italian style. Johan selected a chic brushed matt gold Tivoli tap range to elevate the sophisticated aesthetic.

House Tomsett provided Italltile Walmer with the opportunity to showcase the kind of local and international contemporary style that best frames the company’s “Live Beautifully” positioning and “Live Green” principles, while Johan Kemper and his team were delighted to put their interior design skills and product knowledge to the test.

Johan Kemper was briefed in October 2023 and the project was completed in early November 2023.
