Bathroom Butler: The Inside Scoop on Heated Towel Rails

The concept of a Heated Towel Rail (HTR) is not very common for the South African market. Bathroom Butler is revolutionising how people perceive their bathrooms with the appliances and accessories they choose to install, including a heated towel rail (HTR), which is quickly becoming the appliance people can no longer live without.

The HTR is the perfect hygiene solution for the entire family as it keeps towels dry thereby alleviating the chance of bacterial growth caused from musty, damp towels. The rails also provide a space saving solution and add that touch of class and sophistication to your bathroom. The HTR products are made from 100% recyclable stainless steel and are developed by Bathroom Butler, South Africa.

These towel rails add to the aesthetic appeal of your bathroom through their modern design, while ensuring your bath towels are always dry, smelling fresh and hygienic. The HTR’s are also energy efficient, cost effective and made from quality materials, making your bathroom look and feel amazing while being environmentally friendly.

We get the inside scoop from Bathroom Butler regarding their Heated Towel Rails:

Does your HTR use Dry Element Technology (DET)?

HTR’s trap heat between the folded towels and are therefore able to effectively dry your towels. This enables you to save space and hang more than one towel on the rail. The rails utilise Dry Element Technology (DET) which heats the rail up within 10-15 minutes of being switched on through the use of silicone insulated wire inside the pipes.

Is the unit efficient?

The area on the rail which has a towel placed on it will automatically become hotter than the free rail space; this is called Direct Intelligent Heating. Direct intelligent heating ensures maximum results with the minimum use of energy, where the increase in temperature does not use extra electricity. Plus running costs can be reduced even further though the use of a manual Personal Timer Select (PTS) switch or the Total Digital Control (TDC) Timer, by allowing you to switch your rail on and off. It costs the same as running a 65W light bulb.

Can the unit temperature be controlled to suit your lifestyle?

With the Total Digital Control (TDC) Timer, you have control over the temperature of the rail as well as the running costs by programming the settings as required to fit your personal routine and unique lifestyle. With four modes of operation within a 24-hour period, the possibilities are endless.

  • Mode: Off for the jetsetters
  • Mode: On for the family friendly household
  • Mode: Auto for the workaholics constantly on the go
  • Mode: Quick run for the adventurous spirits

Is your HTR going to last?

As the HTR is made from recyclable stainless steel, is non-porous, and rust resistant, it will last a lifetime. In addition, it will afford you additional savings on your electricity bills while ensuring your bath towels are always ready to use, germ free and smelling fresh.
