Annie Sloan: 3 Chalk Paint Makeovers To Inspire
Well, Chalk Paint® comrades, let’s admire some beautiful painted projects together, shall we. There’s nothing like a bit of creative inspiration to soothe and satisfy! Chalk Paint® makeovers are here to stay!
The first piece is this sublime number by The Housewarmings, which is a pre-eminent example of a piece which is both soothing and satisfying! The smoky usage of Chalk Paint® in a Svenska Blue and Amsterdam Green mix beautifully emphasises the details on this chest of drawers which have a gorgeous rustic Hamptons feel to them – heightened by the pared back wall in Pure, and white washed wooden floor in a diluted Chalk Paint® and water mix.
Next, a stunning example of a Chalk Paint® floor! Chalk Paint® can lift a room at a fraction of the expense and effort that fitting new floors calls for! This particular makeover has been accomplished by Jacyln James Home using Chalk Paint® in Graphite and Pure. You’ll be amazed what a difference a lick of paint makes!
Daniel of Other Mans Treasure is one of our favourite furniture painters. He used Chalk Paint® in Athenian Black on the frame of this chair then painted the seat to look like leather by layering French Linen under multiple thin coats of a Barcelona Orange, Arles and Honfleur mix.
The stamp stencil on the seat has been painted in Graphite, and lashings of Dark Chalk Paint® Wax give that aged leather look. Clear Chalk Paint® Wax all over to protect. The fabric is Dulcet fabric in Graphite, Louis Blue, and Old White. For those less confident in their decorating skills, using the Chalk Paint® fabric collection is a brilliant way to ensure cohesion in your scheme!
