REHAU: uPVC Windows Meet All Requirements
The owner of this residence in Franschhoek, Western Cape, required new windows and doors to replace the old wooden windows. His specification was that the new windows and doors be high security, energy efficient and require no maintenance other than the occasional wipe to clean.
New Look Window Systems were awarded the contract, as the REHAU uPVC window systems they use, more than fulfils the customer’s requirements.
The installation consisted of 12 uPVC mock sash casement windows with heritage bars, 3 single uPVC doors and 5 French (double) uPVC doors. In order to meet the security prerequisites, all windows and doors were fitted with double glazing (6.38 laminate external and 4mm internal glass), multi-point locks and decorative OGEE internal beading.
The REHAU uPVC window system offers thermal insulation, ensuring that the building is comfortable all year round, whatever the weather. The frames are UV stable and durable, meaning that they will never need to be sanded, varnished or painted and will not rot or warp, thus fulfilling the customer’s wish for a no-nonsense window system.
“We find that an increasing number of homeowners are choosing to replace their old windows with uPVC windows and doors due to the amazing advantages offered by REHAU’s systems. It makes sense to replace with high-quality products that last for more than 20 years”, says Jörn Junger of New Look Window Systems.
