LIM: Reviving A Tudor Style Home
Today’s house tour takes us into a beautiful Oak Avenue Project by Bone Design Studio and furnished by LIM. This one is for the nature lovers among us; the ones who crave tranquillity and the freshness of nature in the home…
Reviving this Tudor style home was a challenge worth taking. Keeping most of the original architectural features, such as, original teak coffered ceilings, floorboards, hand-carved balustrades and brickwork fireplaces, these elements provided the perfect bones for LIM furnishing and décor with an approach centred on creating a simple layered look and feel.
The clients wanted a simple paired-back living space, uncluttered and unassuming. Designers achieved this with carefully considered planning and area zoning, together with contemporary, clean-lined furniture pieces in natural tones and textures.
Nature lovers at heart, the design team chose materials like linens and richly hued timbers to calm the space down and envelope them in a sense of comfort. These thoughtfully designed spaces are not only aesthetically pleasing but also robust, ensuring effortless living for many years to come.
Inside and out, it is a celebration of beautifully minimalist and timeless pieces to enhance the home’s natural beauty. In the end, it’s a refreshing abode – filled with nature-inspired textures and tones that bring tranquility into every space.
