Malabar: Artsy Bookcase Perfectly Edgy
Malabar combines trends with functionality to enhance your decor space. Featured pieces include an artsy bookcase that is perfect edgy for a contemporary setting.
The Riveting Emel Bookcase
The Emel Bookcase follows the strict design directives given by the famed Italian rationalist architect Aldo Rossi. The urban influence of Rossi and Malabar’s sense of aesthetics converged to create a contemporary and spirited piece.
Emel’s shelves are made of solid rosewood and finished with an eclectic veneer patchwork, while the structural base is made of brass, providing the finishing touches to this classic furniture piece with a modern touch. Perfectly edgy for extravagant or more sophisticated interior décor projects, the Emel Bookcase will subsequently provide any living room, office room or even bedroom with a luxurious yet urban flair.
Pair it with The Hollow Sideboard
Emel pairs well with Hollow, a beautiful wooden sideboard showcasing different tones and textures. The Hollow Sideboard features a diversity of woods such as bird’s eye, elm root, walnut veneer and ebony. Furthermore, it boasts a translucent finish. This is perfectly blended with a polished brass structure. It subsequently provides a stunning landscape in your home décor and will bring you closer to nature.
This sideboard has been inspired by Hollo – a public artwork, installed on the grounds of Bristol University. It has been set up by the architects Zeller & Moye and the famous artist Katie Paterson. The piece subsequently combines different types of wood from more than 10,000 tree species from every country on the planet. Inspired by this magnificent structure, Malabar designers therefore conceived the Hollow Sideboard.
Bring artistic flair into your home with Malabar.
