The province of Gelderland, the Netherlands, was in need of modern and sustainable housing that would be multifunctional and future-proof. The starting point of the design of the Gelders Huis was to stimulate meetings between employees and visitors and to encourage employees to meet each other at the same time. Bamboo plays a central role in the overall interior design. Together with some moderately used bright colours, the natural and utterly sustainable bamboo materials add highlights and contribute to a warm atmosphere in the complex that is dominated by cooler tones of grey and black.
