An Arts & Culinary school created to preserve the traditions of Emirati culture, we set out to design an institution based on subtle historical influence and yet provide just enough of a canvas to feature the works of students. A gallery-like building that embraces the natural setting of the Liwa desert, we ensured sunlight was optimized through carefully positioned fenestration and skylights and that nature served as an artistic backdrop in itself. Music halls, kitchens, and studios are minimalistically wrapped in a light green plaster, symbolizing a freshness in ideas
