Juanette grew up and developed as a multi-faceted artist in Gauteng, but she recently moved to Robertson in the Cape Winelands where she creates her art on a fulltime basis in beautiful surroundings and with the support of her family. Inspired by Van Gogh’s fearless, bold use of colour and texture, she has always strived to find and establish her own voice. Her themes vary between birds, stilllifes and especially her passion for delft and birds often featuring somewhere in her paintings. She has an impressionistic style and she enjoys creating thick oil impasto work with a pallet knife.
