Tulp’s softly welcoming lines of Stefen Scholten’s tulip design pay homage to nature. Its unique form can be traced back to a trip that the Dutch designer made to Indonesia. Looking over some chairs placed around a series of round tables at a garden party, Scholten observed that they were arranged in a pattern resembling a tulip and decided to use this as inspiration for the Tulp chair.
Tulp’s open and comfortable lines evoke the characteristic flower of the Netherlands with armrests that resemble its leaves.
