Natural lit homes with skylights

The beauty of skylights is their instinctual asset to light a room from the side you choose to create its illumination. You can choose from dramatic to a focal point, to maybe something more functional or artistic. Preference is up to you, we’re just here to show you how it can be done:

Skylights5

Focal point

To create a beautiful centerpiece in the kitchen, try square and triangular windows to enhance the space. Windows installed near the ceiling line highlight its steeply-pitched angle and add an appealing architectural element to the kitchen.

Symmetrical Skylights

To fill a modern kitchen with natural light, opt for a symmetrical arrangement of windows to curate a clean-lined look of the cabinetry and open shelving. Light streaming in through the skylights illuminates the various kitchen work zones and helps the space feel open.

High top windows

An array of windows welcomes space and light into a room, often used in the lounge and entryway. Windows placed lose by the ceiling line highlight the vaulted ceiling and create an architectural interest to the space, giving it more layers of texture and visual interest.

Bay windows

At the end of a lounge or kitchen, or in South Africa, the enclosed stoep for lounging and eating, a cozy sitting area set in a bay window offers an intimate space for gathering or relaxing on a slow-moving afternoon. A built-in window seat makes use of the curve or shape. Skylights9 Looking for Skylights visit www.sadecor.co.za
