Kathleen’s Home Designs: 5 Hacks To Care For Your Window Treatments
Pro designers are always full of good advice and designer hacks to make decorating that much easier. We asked Kathleen Borland, founder of Kathleen’s Home Designs, to share some useful tips to help us take better care of our window treatments. This is what she had to say…
5 Easy Tips To Try Today:
#1. Sticky curtain rods and rings?
No problem. For easy gliding of rings on round poles, spray with Mr Min. Should clear up the problem in no time!
#2. What about stainless steel poles?
To prevent stainless steel poles from becoming sticky, wipe off with a soft wet cloth and then spray stainless steel spray.
#3. Want to save on cleaning?
To save on washing and dry-cleaning of your curtains, just vacuum the inside of the curtains now and then.
#4. Get the length right
Before installing your rails or poles first buy the length of curtain required.
#5. What if your curtains are too long?
If curtains are too long, use the iron-on hemming tape which is easily available at most material shops.
