Castellano Beltrame: Mzanzi Africa
Bringing with them their Italian flair as well as an enormous passion for the art of passementerie, the Castellano Beltrame family started a company where the product is rich in detail and steeped in history. Nestled in the Eastern Cape, they create plait, twist, weave and handcraft beautiful collections using traditional skills combined with contemporary innovation.
They have developed a new range of African themed key tassels which are a celebration of African heritage, boasting colours and patterns that are intrinsic of Mother Africa.
Castellano Beltrame believes in innovation following the principle that passementerie is a prestige item in the home and therefore needs to evolve following the trends of furnishing fabrics, textures and colours.
Trimmings should make a statement in the room and in home decor. Trimmings are a work of love and passion. For Castellano Beltrame, quality is of the highest importance. Their products consist of single and double tiebacks, rope tiebacks, key tassels and chair ties. Furniture trimmings include bullions, braids, borders, gimps, tassel fringes, rouches, cut fringes, cords and lipcords.
They are thrilled to have branched out into a uniquely African product range – one that is different and unique to a local market.
