Ideas for the Perfect Water Feature

It is true tranquility – the sound of gently bubbling water and the shade from a large tree provides the perfect spot to relax! Here are a few great ideas for creating the ideal water feature for your home!

Why a water feature? The sound of flowing water has a naturally calming and soothing effect on the body (and mind). A water feature with water gently trickling can do just that – promote a tranquil space which is perfect for the home. A water feature also adds to the visual appeal of your property – whether in a courtyard or in your garden, let this welcome addition enhance the overall look of your abode and draw you outdoors where you can soak up the sights and sounds of nature. Some ideas to inspire: A fountain A fountain is one of the more common water features and can be easily purchased at your local nursery or through a reputable landscaper. Choose a size to suit your space and enjoy the sound of flowing water to ease away your cares, right at home! A pond A pond is a great way to connect with the natural world and is a welcome addition to almost any garden space. Use it as a water point to attract birds to your home, or fill your pond with gorgeous koi and other fish and enjoy the lifegiving presence of freshwater fish right in your own garden. A water garden Create a garden with strategically placed water points where you can grow indigenous plants that love the humidity and freshness that comes of a body of water on your property. These can even be placed indoors for an exotic and magical feel to your space. Looking for Design and Decor Elements visit www.sadecor.co.za
