Plascon House Tour: A Baroque and Boho loft
Today’s loft residence radiates character, down to the last little detail and choice of interesting materials that work together to create this wonderful eclectic and somewhat crazy mix of baroque and boho styles that are simply captivating.
Here the walls definitely do the talking – instead of monotone paint effects, designers have made all five walls (the fifth being the ceiling) in every room, standout features. The brickwork of the open plan kitchen blends into the living space – in a mesmerising effect of raw brick and crisp white interior space – unlike anything we are currently used to in design. The oversized sofa system in a neutral shade of greige (beige and grey combined) sets the trend with pops of earthy shades popping through in the carious scatters and textured rug underfoot. Lighting is also definitely not an afterthought in this space, as we see a wonderful mix of pendants in the kitchen, a striking metallic floor lamp in the lounge and a contemporary wooden fitting strategically placed in the dining area – all adding their own sparkle to this boho Moscow abode. A distressed wooden ceiling adds charm here and a feature wall of raw and painted brick, adjacent to a column of wood, adds depth and intrigue in this space. Set off against a modern dining table and white chairs – and the entire space feels contemporary and playful. Again, the bedroom walls are magnificent statements in this home – in various textured finishes and tones to add to the overall boho style of this retreat. Styled with an array of beautiful monochromatic prints above the bed, the various shades of grey, black and white are perfectly on trend, and we love the nifty seating area created next to the bed, suspended off the floor as if floating above the ground. Filled with neutral scatters, this area complements the shades of the room and the linen used. The bathroom too is far from simple – instead, a clever mix of materials and finishes makes this a feast for the eyes, with wood-look wall effects and concrete elements, this room is beautiful boho and modern. The statement twin basins are eye-catching features in this room and we love the choice of industrial lighting overhead and open window to elevate the lighting in this space. Contact: Plascon via
