Cane Time: Vondom’s Stones Collection

As the name suggests, the Stones Collection by Vondom appears to be found in nature itself, creating synergism between the natural and the artificial landscape. It is now available from Cane Time.

The Stone Collection is created by Stefano Giovannoni and Elisa Gargan for Vondom. We hear from these designers about what makes them tick!

Who really are you?

Two designers, partners in work and life.

What do you think of when you hear the word plastic?

Plastic is a material we really like, because as the word itself suggests it gives us the
opportunity to create shapes and concepts that it is hard to do with other materials.

What is your favourite colour?

We both love green. Stefano loves acid green, Elisa prefers emerald green.

Which Vondom item from another designer would you put in your home?

Besides our products that we have in our terrace, we think that there are many other
interesting items but we may need more than one house to put them all in.

What was the last thing you bought?

Stefano always used to buy music, Hi-Fi CDs and vinyls. Recently he bought antiques
from Korea and Elisa bought some coloured glass vases from the fifties, designed by
Archimede Seguso.

Do you believe in perfection?

It’s an abstract idea, but it’s the goal for any product.

Do you have any fixation or quirky habit?

Stefano is a perfectionist, he has a lot of quirky habits, especially to do with music and
his Hi-Fi. Elisa doens’t have many, she likes classic glasses and tablecloths. For both of us
our goal is to prepare perfect dishes.

The Stone Collection seems to fit perfectly into any environment, transmitting its own particular elegance, to its material, as well as its original shape. Stone is made from polyurethane and is completely weatherproof. Included in the range are the Stone Lounge Chair, Stone Sofa, Stone Coffee Table and Stone Planter.
