Pure Creation: Beauty in the simplicity of nature
They say that beauty can be found all around us. It is the gentle breeze that blows on a warm summer’s day; it is the first blossom that bursts forth in Spring; or the first ray of sunlight to touch your face each morning… We need only look at the natural world and be inspired to find new and creative ways of personal expression.
Nature continues to spur the ingenuity of designers such as Nadine Marola from Pure Creation. Out of a love for nature, art and design, Nadine established Pure Creation in 2013, as an outlet for her creative expression. Nadine explains: “I have always been inspired by the beauty, peacefulness and calmness of nature. The pure beauty, the oneness, the completeness and the feeling you get when you walk barefoot on the earth. I am a creator, an artist, a mama and an Earth-lover. I wish to reflect this feeling of purity and beauty in my art and products.” Today Pure Creation showcases a beautiful selection of Nadine’s original artwork prints, cushions, napkins and moonlights – all inspired by nature. Each moonlight is a reflection of something found in nature and these were the original creations that helped to establish Pure Creation as a brand. Each rounded moonlight disk is cut out according to a theme, such as ‘Freedom’ “Tree of Life’ or ‘Swallows Wings’. These functional designer lights showcase beautiful and intricate designs through which the light is filtered. A gorgeous addition in any living room, bedroom or even nursery. Pure Creation boasts a range of products that are typically made using natural materials such as wood, clay and linen. The range has developed into ceramics and custom-made linen printed with the artist’s own handiwork. With many new developments in the pipeline, the public can look forward to a whole new range of products in the near future. Nadine also aims to offer a custom decorating and design service as part of the Pure Creation experience from 2018. This is a brand to watch as it makes it mark on the local design scene in South Africa. “Pure creation is about pure beauty, beauty in imperfection, beauty in life and the beauty of everything natural.”
