LUMEN 8 was born in 1998, designing & producing light fittings with a commission from the developers of Heritage Square in Cape Town to design and supply wall lights. Following on from this, in order to compliment these gorgeous light fittings, they designed a range of light switches and as the saying goes, the rest is history.

Today Lumen 8 have major premises in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town where they manufacture special bespoke switchgear. This is also an administrative headquarters with additional showrooms in Cape Quarter, Cape Town and Bryanston, Johannesburg.

​The team understands the complexities involved in selecting light switches, dimmers and socket outlets, and are dedicated to finding ways of refining both the process and product to make the customer experience an enjoyable, stress free one.

The process is to consult, specify, quote, and manufacture. Due to the bespoke service on offer, a certain amount of time is required for manufacture, much like a fine dining restaurant requiring time to produce your sumptuous meal.

The end result is a beautiful ‘feast’ of quality switchgear that you’ll love in your home or business. Whether this switchgear is subtly unobtrusive or bright and bold, the effect is always distinctively LUMEN 8.
