Inova Contracts presents Apex Lamp Collection Design by John Tree
Designed by British designer John Tree, the new Apex Clip Lamp collection for Hay was inspired by the classic banker’s light.
Designed to be attached to a variety of horizontal surfaces, “the folded steel shade is peaked like a roofline, which inspired the name, and swivels 360 degrees so you can direct the light as you wish,” Hay explains of the new take on the classic design that is available in several fresh contemporary hues including pink, pastel blue and maroon that offer a graphic contrast to the chrome-plated bases.
“The Apex Desk Clip Lamp offers a functional lighting solution for a variety of spaces and uses, from a task light on a desk to a reading lamp next to a sofa,” Hay continues.
The Apex Clip Lamp range consists of the Clip Lamp, Desk Clip Lamp, Table Lamp and Desk Lamp, and forms part of the larger Apex Lamp range designed by Tree.
The London-based product and furniture designer established his studio in 2016 after leaving Jasper Morrison.
Today, the award-winning designer divides his time between his studio and Jasper Morrison where he explores industrial processes to create contract and domestic furniture, lighting, accessories and electronics.
Hay is locally available through Inova Contracts, a local stockist of design-led furniture for discerning South African buyers.
