Casarredo Presents All New Fontana Special Lighting Colours
Exclusive to Casarredo, you can now get your hands on one of the new stylish colours now available in the Fontana Special Lighting Collection. It is bold illumination at its best.
Designed in 1954 by the famous French master glassmaker and decorator Max Ingrand, the lamp was originally named 1853 and then Fontana, in homage to the company of which the Master was for a decade Artistic Director.
For design enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the history of the brand, 1853 still remains a sort of nickname today. The first timeless object symbol of design, still the best seller and timeless icon, Fontana represents the abat-jour par excellence.
An extremely precious lamp in satin white blown glass, already reissued in the total black version and in the light grey and amethyst purple coloured version, is now available in a new version – brass – which reinforces the contemporary nature of the project.
“Light and colour are certainly the most specific elements in nature. With them we have SERENITY, MOVEMENT, LIFE” declared Max Ingrand. “In reality, the history of architecture tells us what the role of illuminated, opaque, translucent colour was in internal and external architecture (…). Light was no longer just a means to breathe life in colours, but it became a means to give life to an entire architecture.”
Find the Fontana in new colours now available exclusively at Casarredo.
