Streamlight Portable lights for contemporary ways of living
Sporting a new range of portable lights for contemporary living, Spanish-based lighting company, Vibia is changing the way we light up spaces.
“Vibia exists to create beautiful atmospheres, using lighting design to generate meaningful responses that have a positive impact on the human experience. We put people at the centre of everything we do: their feelings, their desires and ultimately their wellbeing. Elegant, sensual and universal, Vibia speaks a language of emotion that connects us with the world,” the company explains.
Their holistic approach to lighting is also what brought about their range of portable lights.
“The ways in which we live and work have changed significantly in recent years. As a result, we’ve seen a hybridisation of uses of space; a merging of indoor and outdoor environments; and an emphasis on human-centric, multisensory design. We want light to move with us throughout the day, adapting to different uses and accommodating our increasingly hybrid lifestyles,” Vibia explains.
To this end, they created Africa and Mayfair Mini – two portable lamp designs that utilise powerful long-lasting batteries and LED technology to illuminate any indoor or outdoor area.
Designed by Francisco Gomez Paz, Africa is defined by a slender, conical stem that leads to a neat head. The versatile lamp’s function extends from comfortable ambient illumination to an effective task light with three levels of light intensity.
Mayfair Mini, meanwhile, is a classic example of big things coming in small packages.
Designed by Diego Fortunato, the small, portable lamp with its sleek, sophisticated design is powered by a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 18 hours.
With three intensity settings, the Mayfair Mini is perfect for us as a source of ambient or task lighting inside and outside the home.
Vibia is locally available through Streamlight.
