Totem Designs: Caesarstone surfaces
The leader in quartz and luxury quartz engineered surfaces, Caesarstone surfaces are ideal for virtually any interior application, from kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities and stairs, to wall panelling and interior furniture.
At Decorex 2022, Johannesburg-based, Totem Designs showcased how Caesarstone surfaces can be used to achieve a bespoke, high-end kitchen remodel.
Totem Designs says: “Today’s modern kitchens come in all shapes and sizes. When doing a kitchen remodel the countertop materials come in a massive assortment of choices, but they can be customised even further with special routing or inset bands of another colour or material.”
For their stand, Totem Designs used Caesarstone’s Montblanc and Black Tempal surfaces along with warm wood for a contemporary mix of luxury surfaces.
Part of the Supernatural Collection, Montblanc “captures the essence of Europe’s snow-covered Alps with a pale-grey background and a flurry of dark-grey veins”.
In stark contrast, Black Tempal “dramatically captures the granular look and feel found in other dark stones” for a dramatic design that packs a visual punch.
As Caesarstone notes of the project: “The marbled vein across the black charcoal base of Black Tempal’s surface contrasts with the romantic Montblanc, which creates a nature-inspired statement. Totem Kitchens brought these two beauties together in a stunning installation piece and we love looking at it over and over again!”
