Evening Rituals in Stone & Oak — Blue Hills Entertainment, Reimagined
Interior Design by Timid Tyger Designs
Some entertainment spaces are designed for hosting; others seem to radiate from within. In Blue Hills, a custom entertainment area by Oakmont Kitchens & Interiors achieves the latter. It’s a room that feels sculpted rather than assembled – shaped by stone, timber, and light in a way that invites both company and quiet retreat.
Oakmont Kitchens & Interiors is known for this level of intentionality. As a leading provider of luxury kitchens, custom-designed cabinetry, and bespoke interior solutions, the company believes that every space should be both beautiful and functional. Their team specialises in crafting tailored kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, built-in furniture, and precision shopfitting across residential, retail, and commercial spaces. At the heart of their work is a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, bringing a client’s vision to life with meticulous detailing and refined material execution. This project is a testament to that approach.
At the centre of this entertainment area sits a fluted timber bar crafted in solid white oak. The vertical lines give it architectural weight, but it’s the way the bar interacts with light that elevates it. A bookmatched marble-look slab from Lumostone forms the glowing backdrop, its soft veining illuminated by a warm golden wash. The stone continues in gentle dialogue through the floating shelves and inset splashbacks, creating a consistent material language that feels both warm and quietly luxurious.
Grey-tinted glass framed in aluminium introduces a subtle sophistication along one wall, revealing a sequence of tailored display shelves set within crisp architectural alcoves. These niches function less like storage and more like curated vignettes; compositions of glass, metal, and timber that add depth without visual noise. Opposite, a full media wall creates a sculptural counterbalance. Its recessed panels and softly lit niches draw the eye in, creating an atmosphere that feels composed and inviting.
What truly defines the space is its mood. Every detail – the warm white integrated LEDs, the softened cabinetry edges, the balanced proportions – has been considered not only in millimetres, but in emotion. Materials feel tactile without being heavy. Lighting enhances without overpowering. Each decision contributes to an evening ritual that feels unhurried and atmospheric.
The palette remains intentionally restrained: oak, stone, brushed metal, tinted glass. Yet within this minimalism lies richness – a layered, glowing quality that becomes more captivating the longer you inhabit the room. It’s the kind of space designed not just for entertaining, but for lingering long after the music softens.
In the end, this Blue Hills entertainment area reflects Oakmont at its most refined: warm, sculptural, and quietly confident. A place where luxury and comfort meet effortlessly, and where hospitality becomes an experience shaped as much by mood as by design.
