Lacunza celebrates its 50-year anniversary this year, and are proud of the accomplishments of the entire, global team team. At a celebratory event last month, José Julián Garciandía, managing director of Lacunza in Spain highlighted some the important factors that makes our brand unique – Familly and friends, memories, ecofriendly designs, and quality fireplaces. He also added that after operating for half a century, the balance is really positive and “the very fact that the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary says it all”.

The company currently designs, manufactures and markets, wood-burning stoves, range cookers and fireplaces, thanks to a team of engineers specialising in research, development and innovation.

ECODESIGN2022, the new European directive for the ecological design of domestic biomass appliances, became mandatory as of 1 January 2022. From that time onwards, it is illegal to sell and install any appliance that does not comply with these regulations. The aim of ECODESIGN2022 is to protect the environment and human health. To this end, the regulations set the parameters for the emission of harmful substances to minimum levels.

The Biarritz is a cast iron stove with a large fire chamber that can take logs of up to 500mm. The large printed ceramic glass door gives the stove a more contemporary feel, as well as a fantastic view of the flames. The Biarritz has an efficient double combustion system that provides perfect combustion, contributing to environmental sustainability.
