This month’s hottest trends from True Design
We take a closer look at some of the newest innovations and finds now available locally thanks to the experts at True Design. Committed to developing the highest standard of interior solutions, True Design work to combine their expertise, experience and stable of brands and products. They are all about authentic design and aim to bring superior brands to South African shores.
Here are a few of their latest offerings: One of the latest innovations in furniture design influences the work of renowned designers, such as the professionals from Kartell, who have truly broken the norm this year with moulded polycarbonates by introducing composite materials like carbon fiber and polypropylene into the manufacture of their goods.
The Piuma family is a great example of this new technology where the composite materials ensure the strongest moulded products to date, and at a fraction of the weight of normal poly moulded products. The Piuma chair is only 2 mm in thickness and weighs under 2 kg, designed by Piero Lissoni for Kartell.

Ferruccio Laviani, the light genius, has also designed the new Bella pendants for Kartell, in earthy tones, which are truly in vogue.
