The Buddy Collection by Pedrali

Buddy, the collection of pouffes by Busetti Garuti Redaelli for Pedrali is designed with a friendly, versatile character, and from this year, includes generous backrests.

On the occasion of the 57th edition of the Salone del Mobile fair the collection has been enriched with a chair, a two-seater bench and a chaise-longue with bountiful backrests, combined with softly upholstered pouffes, creating a family of soft modular seating that reflects the friendly spirit of the collection.

The aim as designers said “was to create a versatile, fresh and functional collection of seatings, which could be placed in any context”.

Buddy perfectly fits in every housing and contract space: from relaxation areas to airport lounges, and through to latest-generation co-working spaces, giving a touch of colour and personality to each of them.

The hallmarks of Buddy are the soft lines and the minimal and simple design. Characterized by contemporary and versatile elements, even in their simplicity, the collection is featured by a contrast between the bold volumes of the seat and a slender, lightweight frame.

The use of the backrests makes Buddy family even more flexible and comfortable, with endless possibilities of composition. Thanks to their different sizes, there are multiple combinations matching the varied needs of contemporary and multipurpose spaces.

To complete the collection there are turning tablets, easy to use and functional, integrated in the frame.

After completing their industrial design studies at the IED in Milan and personal collaborations with design and architectural studios, Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli, started working together since 2008 on new projects combining their qualities and attitudes. In 2014 they received the “Young & Design” selection with LOG chair, while working with Pedrali.
