Stylish indoor living with Mobelli
South Africa’s leading furniture specialists, Mobelli Furniture + Living, are embracing a stylish new range of indoor furniture, after years of supplying stylish pieces predominantly for the outdoors. Their new indoor range officially launches in September and is definitely worth the wait!
Alon Sachs, co-owner of Mobelli Furniture + Living says the unveiling of the indoor collection is a new dawn for the business he founded with his brother, Aviv. He says the turning point to adapt his largely outdoor brand to include indoor pieces was born when clients repeatedly said: “We love Mobelli furniture; we wish we could take it inside.” “When clients speak, we listen. Although we embraced both the in-and-outdoor trend, we decided it’s time to focus on creating a classic assortment of furniture pieces and really go inside. There’s so much available out there and we started this journey with an aim to establish what excites us and the type of design styles that suit our market,” Sachs says. Building the right collection took research, time and hard work, and after a year of research, a subsequent partnership with an interior designer ensued and the wheels were set in motion. The 2017/2018 collection comprises various ranges including: the Berkley, an L-shaped, contemporary sofa with extra length; the Hudson, a stylish and comfortable sofa and armchair; the Ludlow, a curvaceous sofa with kidney-shaped seat cushion; the Brooklyn, a modern, angular sofa; the Hanover, a deep-seated, trendy, L-shaped sofa; the Stratus, a chic, feather, L-shaped sofa; and the Lexington, a classy L-shaped sofa. What sets it apart from other indoor furniture pieces? According to Sachs, it’s “unlike anything out there”. The collection was specifically designed with ergonomics in mind and guarantees optimum comfort and practicality. The fabrics are elegant and with a range of colour options available, it conforms to individual style. “During concept and design stage we decided that we needed to be different. That’s the only way to be successful in the long run. Customers the world over are looking for a unique piece, and one of its list of features is a first for South Africa – the covers are removable, yet appear to be fully-upholstered, which makes it easy to maintain. Now customers won’t have to ring a cleaning service to get the piece cleaned. Instead, it can easily be removed and tossed in the laundry basket for convenient at-home cleaning. This collection is contemporary, yet timeless and is guaranteed to make a lasting statement,” says Sachs.
