Stand Out with The Spanish Chair From The African Touch
The African Touch has taken Mogensen’s original design of The Spanish Chair and improved on it. Now you can stand out from the crowd with this latest interpretation of a classic!
The chair itself has been raised to make it more comfortable for older persons. Mortice and tenon joints have been strengthened. Furthermore, the timber used to make the chair is very much harder and more durable than the original.
The covers offered for the Spanish Chair are full thickness pure veg-tanned bovine harness leather. These have been hand-stitched and riveted for exceptional comfort and durability. A small variety of auto canvas options are also available.
Furthermore, The African Touch is all about handcrafted traditional joinery, built to last you a lifetime. This is why we are excited about the latest improvements on The Spanish Chair. Its beautiful new proportions and materials make it a stand-out piece to bring you much joy.
How is it made?
The craftsmen from The African Touch have been trained over the last 28 years in traditional woodworking skills. They are subsequently experts in producing very accurate and strong wood to wood joints such as mortice & tennon, dovetail & sliding dovetail, expanded tennon, half lap and so on. These joints, provided they are well constructed, form the strongest possible wood furniture joints. The glues used are always tested to ensure that the bond is stronger than the timber used to make the joint.
