The Sim-Ply Range of Furniture by Haldane Martin

Designer Haldane Martin has taken an existing chair typology and manufacturing technique and gently evolved it to create the Sim-Ply Collection.

Sim-ply Kitchen Stool

The result is well-considered, balanced chairs that are beautiful, comfortable, well made, economical, eco-friendly, on trend, locally manufactured and available in customer-specific bespoke finish options. The Sim-Ply name is derived from the simple curved plywood seats and backs. The chair collection is visually distinctive for its simple rounded forms, cute proportions, friendly finishes and an unusually wide backrest that hugs the sitter. The collection is made up of a dining chair, a lounge chair, a kitchen stool and a bar stool in a variety of upholstered seat and backrest options.

SIM-PLY RANGE

The seats and backs are made from moulded Ash veneered Birch plywood. The undercarriage and legs are made from solid Ash timber. The wood components are sprayed with Acid Catalysed Lacquer in satin matt clear or a curated selection of solid colours. The chair is assembled with a combination of innovative joinery techniques and brass plated hardware. Optional upholstered seat and backrest pads are made from a high density polyurethane upholstery foam covered in a curated selection of leathers, felts, velvets and digitally printed fabric.

Interior trade customers are welcome to supply their own fabrics and specify their own bespoke colour spray finishes matched with Dulux colour codes. (Limited to a minimum of 6 chairs per colour.)

Sim-Ply Dining Chair:

The Sim-ply Dining Chair is available with upholstered seat and back, upholstered seat and plywood back, or plywood seat and back. Upholstery available in a selection of velvets, felts, prints and leathers. Wood components available in natural Ash and a selection of colour spray finishes.

Sim-ply Lounge Chair:

The wider Sim-ply Lounge Chair comes with an upholstered seat and back for extra comfort, again in a selection of velvets, felts, prints and leathers.

Sim-Ply Kitchen Stool

The Sim-ply Kitchen Stool with upholstered seat sees the barstool reimagined at a lower height with its comfortable seat upholstered in a variety of fabrics.

Sim-Ply Barstool

The Sim-ply Barstool is a higher stool with plywood seat available in natural Ash and a selection of colour spray finishes.
