Leonardo Tables By Design: A Look At Circular Styles
Round dining tables have been popular since the Romans introduced the concept to the Italians many centuries ago. Until then dining tables had been rectangular allowing the head of the household to view his gatherings from a position of authority. The new shape allowed each diner to see each other and converse easily and this helped herald an era of more and relaxed and informal dining experiences which has carried through to this day.
The popularity of the round dining table has remained, especially with the prevalence of smaller living areas. It is perfect for the square dining room and works particularly well in an open plan layout when the dining area is allocated to a corner.
At Leonardo Tables By Design you’ll find three round dining tables in the current collection that will elevate your mealtimes to new heights.
Tokai Dining Table
The popular Tokai Dining Table combines the practicality of a mild-steel frame that supports an oak veneer table-top. It is available with a simple routered surface design or left plain. The Tokai is available in four, six and eight seater options and a range of finishes.
The Cone Dining Table
The Cone Dining Table was introduced earlier this year in answer to the need for a small 2 – 3 seater table. It is multi-functional and ideal for the micro-apartment or loft space. The elegant conical base gives a strong silhouette. This is the perfect foil for the top’s subtle undercut design. Furthermore, the Cone Table is crafted in oak veneer with a Monocoat finish.
The Constantia Oak Ribbed Dining Table
The Constantia Oak Ribbed Dining Table is the latest in the Leonardo collection. The ribbed detailing of the base gives a contemporary edge to a décor piece that is set to become a firm favourite. The Constantia is available in three sizes. It comes in a range of Monocoat colour finishes that can also be customised to your specifications. Dimensions: 4 Seater- 1200mm (D) x 750mm (H) / 6 Seater – 1600mm (D) x 750mm (H) / 8 Seater – 1800mm (D) x 750mm (H).
