True Design: A coloured world for the Table
Spruce up your meal times with a fun range of tableware from Kartell. The Jellies Family by Kartell’s Patricia Urquiola will bring a splash of playful elegance to your dining room table. Find the collection locally through agents, True Design.
The Jellies Family is a comprehensive line of plates, trays, glasses, bowls and carafes made from colourful and transparent PMMA plastic. Durable and perfect for outdoor dining, you won’t need to worry about breaking expensive porcelain crockery. Instead, this fun plastic range has all the intricate details one would expect from quality ceramics, available in a more durable finish, that even the children would love.
The line’s individuality is down to the fact that each model presents a different organic pattern that has clearly been inspired by nature, harking back to the moulds that were once used for making jellies. This design highlights temporality, and therefore also variety, from smallest to largest. The faint, delicate and accessible transparent colours are suitable for furnishing any kind of table: creative and original, or more classic and monochrome. The overlapping sections and colourful juxtapositions create an imaginative yet discreet ensemble that is both creative and sophisticated. Jellies is a three-dimensional coloured world for the table. Plates or ‘not plates’, glasses and pitchers with bubbles add to the collection. The touch and sight bring cut crystal to mind. Perfectly suited to outdoor entertainment, play and light refractions, Jellies is not afraid of rain or tumbles. They live equally well inside with all the same or with a mix of colours. Born in Oviedo, Spain but living in Italy Patricia Urquiola is a famous interior designer, architect and designer. She is known internationally thanks to her great designs that are suitable for so many projects. She also works a lot with known furniture companies such as Molteni or Boffi, and of course, Kartell.
