Founded by Tendai Douglas Chikukwa and Honesty Peter Story in 2014, Timber Furniture Designs’ tale is one of small beginnings and big dreams.

“Having been working together for five years at a certain furniture manufacturing company made us realise our passion for furniture manufacturing. After the company which we were working for liquidated due to economic hardships, we started our furniture manufacturing business. We started working around a single product of bar stools in the backyard of our houses supplying local furniture shops. We continued to grow, enabling us to graduate to a small workshop with about four workers. Today, we have established a staff of 17 who are very skilful, hardworking, committed and team-spirited and specialise in producing detailed high-quality finish and robust workmanship designed to last a lifetime,” explains Tendai and Honesty.

Today, the company produces far more than just bar stools. Its range of quality, solid-wood furniture includes kitchen islands, vanities, dining tables and chairs, beds, bedside tables and chests of drawers, desks, display units and plant stands, as well as side tables and benches.
