Roche Bobois: The New Spring / Summer Collections 2020

2020 has presented some interesting challenges for even the biggest of design brands around the world. Not holding back, Roche Bobois has given free rein to creativity in their latest Spring and Summer Collections for 2020. With new designs and reinterpretations of old, we see a beautiful mix of superior furniture collections in the latest materials, colours and sizes.

Let’s explore some of our favourites from the 2020 collections available from Roche Bobois…

Astrolab 2.0 Dining Table:

The theme of exposed mechanics is the essence of the Astrolab 2.0. It is available in two finishes which each tell a different story. The Dark version features cool, dark tones that echoes the idea of gears and locomotives. The Champagne version features warm and luxurious tones and is reminiscent of the elegant watch faces of the 1950s. Each version comes with a remote control that allows you to expose the extension leaf and accommodate more guests.

Vestale Cocktail Table:

As a nod to Art Deco, this cocktail table was designed by Cédric Ragot as a composition of pure forms. A large hemispherical cup is supported by two recessed rectangular shapes (in various marbles or solid ash wood): one is horizontal to ensure stability, and the other is vertical and extends up through the bottom of the cup.

Aqua Dining Table:

The deceptively simple shape of the Aqua table hides the incredible craftsmanship that is used to achieve the impressive challenge of designer Fabrice Berrux – making an marble base shaped like a drop of liquid. With the white Carrara or black Marquina marble bases, Aqua can either be monochrome with a colour coordinated Fénix®-coated top, or contrasting with a black or white top. The Bardiglio gray version is monochromatic but plays on the beautiful warm grey tones of this unique marble.

The Kumo Collection:

The Kumo collection was inspired by Japanese culture. It includes a cocktail table with two trays and an end table. Each resin tray is completely unique – a bold blue ink surrounds the flowing white in the middle. The base is in solid ash with a sandblasted, black stained finish.
