Poltrona Frau: Limited Edition
Celebrating 60 years of design excellence, Poltrona Frau has revealed a limited-edition Dezza armchair in a particularly sophisticated reissue. Amongst Poltrona Frau’s most beloved and iconic armchairs, Dezza was designed for the company by Gio Ponti in 1965 and has remained in production since.
With a typically modernist design, the squared lines of the seat are balanced by the elegant curved armrests that follow the entire profile of the armchair to the legs, giving the piece a sense of lightness and dynamism.
The Dezza 60th Anniversary Limited Edition has a solid wood frame and is upholstered in Pelle Frau® Impact Less. The upholstery features an original, unpublished illustration by the chair’s designer: a motif of 26 stylised hands, each different from the other and each with its name and characteristic: “the gloved hand,” “the starry hand,” “the rotating hand,” “the fortune-teller’s hand,” and so on. A playful artistic touch evoking the craftsmanship and “intelligence of the hands” with which the chair itself is constructed, one of the key values of the Poltrona Frau brand.
The Dezza 60th Anniversary Limited Edition, in a limited edition of only 60 individually numbered and certified pieces, will be exclusively available online from February 2025.
