Muuto at 3daysofdesign: A Multisensory Design Experience
During this year’s 3daysofdesign, Muuto transformed its Østergade showroom into a sensory-rich showcase where nature, neuroscience, and new design converge in unexpected ways.
Visitors enjoyed an immersive experience that went far beyond the visual as Muuto guests explored Grounded in Nature – a rooftop landscape installation created in collaboration with Kinda Studios.
More than just a space, it’s a sensory journey designed to reconnect visitors with the rhythms of the natural world.
At the centre of the installation was the Dream View Bench by Danish designer Lise Vester. Its sculptural curves invite stillness, subtly guiding the body and the gaze toward the sky. A collaboration with Swell Studio and Studio Pneuma enhanced the environment with curated sound and scent, turning the rooftop into a quiet retreat above the city, rooted in the principles of neuroaesthetics and emotional wellbeing.
Inside, design curiosity continued with an exclusive first look at Muuto’s September 2025 launches. Among the highlights: the Beam Wall Lamp by Tom Chung, Looped Lamp by Dimitri Bähler, Midst Coffee Table and Rime Rail Lamp by TAF Studio, and the Pair Candleholder by Lars Tornøe.
Celebrating creativity at every level, Muuto also revealed the winners of Muuto Design Contest 001, a global competition spotlighting emerging talent in accessories.
Muuto is locally available at Barker Street, a supplier of high-quality furniture for the home and office in South Africa. Apart from stocking an impressive line-up of international brands such as Muuto, Herman Miller and Knoll, Barker Street also assists clients with interior planning on a project basis.
