La Grange Interiors: The Journey
Established back in 1996, La Grange Interiors started its journey in a charming 200-year-old barn in the scenic town of Franschhoek.
Within the next couple of years, Sumari Krige expanded the brand’s presence, opening a second outlet in Pretoria and then a sprawling third showroom in Johanesburg’s decor hotspot, Kramerville. The next addition to their retail spaces came in 2015 when they opened their Woodstock showroom in Cape Town.
What sets La Grange Interiors apart is its curated selection of fine furniture and homeware, with each item either handpicked or custom-designed by Sumari herself. Each piece comes with a unique tale or experience, reflecting Sumari’s passion for the extraordinary. Her quest for distinctive, handmade items takes her worldwide, from crafters’ exhibitions to antique stores and artisan families with generations of skills. This dedication ensures that La Grange’s showrooms are constantly refreshed with new and inspiring stock every week from top brands such as District Eight, Pols Potten, Triboa Bay Living, Dutz Collection, Gommaire, 101 Copenhagen and Muubs.
La Grange effortlessly blends contemporary interiors with industrial influences and eclectic additions, promoting a lifestyle of easy, refined living. Their range spans from luxurious soft furnishings in textured linens to timeworn antiques, custom-designed wooden furniture, lamps, and accessories that complement their signature rattan furniture.
The team at La Grange consists of professionals who excel in providing decorating solutions, from micro-finishing details to statement furniture pieces. They offer expert advice on pulling together a cohesive look and are available for interior consultations, helping clients realise the full potential of their spaces. Additionally, Sumari takes on exclusive projects for lodges, hotels, and private homes, giving them the unique La Grange touch.
