How would you describe the current trends in home décor and design that KARE Design is embracing this year?
KARE Design has always been very aware of sustainability and the ethical manufacturing of products. This will continue, with design embracing natural elements such as sustainable wood, wool, and nature-inspired elements in décor and furniture. KARE will also still highlight the work-from-home trend, emphasising the integration of your home with your workspace. -
What inspires the themes or styles behind KARE Design’s latest collections?
Comfortable but unique, KARE Design’s latest furniture collections are inspired by nature and combine wood with metal elements, marble, and glass; while our décor objects and lights are always show-stoppers, encouraging us to live our best lives by surrounding ourselves with happy, beautiful pieces -
Have you noticed any shifts in customer preferences recently, and how does KARE Design respond to them?
Yes, clients are leaning more towards soft, curvy, and comfortable pieces, such as the leather and boucle sofas in our Calgary, Portofino, and Madeira ranges, as well as quirky, unique décor objects that speak to them, not merely following trends. Marble tabletops for coffee, dining, and side tables are also popular, and KARE has a wide selection available which includes the beautiful Cono and Lucia range. -
Are there any design elements or materials that you think will dominate the next season in interior design?
The move towards more sustainable interior design will continue, together with quiet luxury and maximalism. While minimalism will always be a popular trend, clients are embracing the trend of combining sentimental, feel-good items with new pieces, creating a fuller space with more focal points. -
Can you walk us through some of KARE Design’s newest products and what makes them stand out?
Although not new, KARE + Studio Divani allows customers to choose from over 60 sofa styles to combine with more than 40 different upholstery fabrics to create their own unique feel-good sofa. -
Which product in the latest collection are you personally most excited about, and why?
I am very excited about KARE Design’s collaboration with Karim Rashid. The pieces are wildly bold and unique and will definitely be the talking point in any space! His style features soft, curvy, and generous shapes in bright colours and pops of neon, and he is known for revolutionising the zeitgeist of product and interior design. -
How does KARE Design keep its product line fresh and innovative while staying true to the brand’s identity?
KARE Design has never followed trends but rather aims to create them! One of KARE Design’s two CEOs, Jürgen Reiter, sources products himself from all over the world, ensuring that KARE Design will always be ahead of the curve. He is inspired by the culture and way of living internationally, and that translates to the unique products KARE offers. -
In your opinion, what makes KARE Design unique in a highly competitive interior design market?
KARE Design really has something for everyone. Whether your style is urban chic, quietly luxurious, bright and bold, minimalist, or classic, KARE will have something you love!
