Current trends in seating design include a more maximalist design approach with more decorative detailing and muted colour palettes.

“There is a more decorative approach in this year’s designs. In terms of seating, this translates to more sumptuous, luxurious designs that are comfortable and interesting – think unique upholstery details like contrast stitching or the use of contrasting materials and the use of plush upholstery fabrics such as velvet for a touch of glamour,” explains Comfort Creations.

“In addition, muted tones and shades are taking centre stage, offering a subtle yet sophisticated palette that introduces tranquillity and elegance into any space. An especially beautiful hue for sofas, Benjamin Moore’s 2024 colour of the year is Blue Nova – a cool and captivating shade of blue with a hint of violet. It stems from a desire to travel both near and far, carrying an adventurous spirit into the home.”

Under the guidance of showroom manager Larry Fisher, the Rosebank space was recently renovated to create a calm, creative and inspiring space for both design professionals and their clientele to explore the vast array of seating solutions on offer.
