Celebrating Summer with Roche Bobois
It’s a season of ample volumes and ‘70s-inspired curves and impressions. Presenting an amplified vision of the era’s style at Roche Bobois.
A season of natural sophistication that favours responsible design, without compromising the freedom of Roche Bobois’ savoir-faire. The Group’s expertise is showcased in extraordinary pieces, such as the Serpentine dining table by Fabrice Berrux, and the Libellule floor lamp by Studio Messieurs – a giant daisy spanning two metres, with petals that take after the insect’s wings.
Spring 2023 blows hot and cold with mineral tones, browns, yellows, and ochres. This earthy palette is offset by a myriad of blues, together balancing carefully considered shapes and radical techniques.
Centre Stage…
Designer Maurizio Manzoni is in the spotlight with several sofas. Notably the modular and generous A-PROPOS showcases its remarkably clean lines.
Expert craftsmanship is revealed in the gouged wood technique seen on R.miniscence by Bina Baitel, a set comprising a dining table, sideboard and desk, matching a contemporary design with sensual curves.
Christian Ghion is back at Roche Bobois with two unique pieces: a cocktail table named Sumito in reference to a Japanese marble game, and a lamp named Autographe, which seems to draw a line in the air in the fashion of light painting.
Expanding with even greater things ahead
Roche Bobois is also continuing to expand on strong, existing collections, such as the extravagant range designed by Marcel Wanders in a tribute to explorers: Globe Trotter has made its way into the bedroom. The range’s characteristic hot air balloon is subsequently displayed on a theatrical bed – the collection’s star piece.
The furniture is reimagined through reworked finishes. Think innovative fabric, renewed colours on the Sense sofa, and an oak top that truly magnifies the organic aesthetic of the Rio Ipanema table. This was previously finished with a glass top. On that topic, Roche Bobois has summoned interesting expressions of glass on several pieces.
Furthermore, the Iroise dining table offers the most spectacular interpretation. The grainy, shimmering texture of its deep blue top conjures the water’s surface. Lake, sea, ocean, swimming pool? Dive in and decide for yourself… It’s the season for it!
