On top of the St Regis Hotel, in Bangkok, a penthouse apartment gives space to a stunning abode. With its sprawling size, prime location, and stellar views of the city skyline, the award-winning Design Intervention firm, embraced the native qualities of the penthouse and perfectly fitted the desires of the demanding client. And Boca do Lobo couldn’t be out of his dream come true.

A personalized home

“Bespoke” is the keyword of this project, as the client dream was to have a totally personalized home, with exclusive items, preferably designed for him. Originally the penthouse was conceived for a family, but the design firm from Singapore redesigned and reinvented the place for a single person, adapting it to his lifestyle and never forgetting the project’s star — The View.

When this client was seeking a studio to design his new luxury home, he was determined to find a firm whose approach would match the majesty of the property. After meeting several top design studios in Thailand, he looked further afield to Singapore where the work of the award-winning firm, Design Intervention caught his eye. He then flew the firm’s founder Nikki Hunt over to Thailand to view the property.

Marble floors, great natural light, a modern look and exclusive statement pieces, one of them the Wave Center Table in copper, by Boca do Lobo, the central living room’s piece. With its unusual form, the centre table gives a wholly unique look to the room and perfectly matches the wood walls and the amazing view.

Developed by Portuguese jewellery artisans, for Boca do Lobo, the centre table is of hand-hammered copper, with a black mirror on top. Craft made, exclusive and contemporary, an object that meets all the requirements of the client, an object that reflects the concept of the project in its self.
